The Ondo State Election Petitions Tribunal has upheld the election of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Leadership reported that the tribunal in a ruling on Tuesday, April 20, dismissed the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) challenging Akeredolu’s victory.
Justice Umar, who delivered the judgment via Zoom, stated that Jegede’s petition lacked jurisdictional merit.
According to the Tribunal:
”The issue raised therein in this petition are settled issue of internal affairs and management of a political party which this Tribunal has no Jurisdiction.”
