President Donald Trump of the United States should be arrested according to Iran. In achieving this, the country issued a request for his arrest through Interpol.

This was disclosed by Iranian judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili during a press conference on Tuesday, January 5.

The country called on the international police organisation to arrest Trump and 47 other American officials.

The identified people were identified as playing a role in the assassination of top general Qassem Soleimani last year.

He said:

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is very seriously following up on pursuing and punishing those who ordered and executed this crime.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Nigeria received help offer from Iran over the menace of Boko Haram insurgents.

The offer was extended by the Islamic Republic of Iran ambassador to Nigeria, Mohammad Alibak.

He said his country is ready to help Nigeria end terrorism. He disclosed this in an interview with Nigeria Tribune.

Alibak added that Iran is disturbed with the insecurity challenges bedevilling the country.

In another report, Legit.ng reported that Trump became the most admired man of the year according to a Gallup poll released on Tuesday, December 29.

The American president beat Barack Obama in the yearly survey which asked Americans to choose any living man around the world they admire most.

Out of 1,018 respondents, 18% of them chose President Trump. Obama, who has topped the list for the past 12 years, was chosen by 15% of those that participated.
