President Muhammadu Buhari will assent into law the 2021 appropriation bill on Thursday, December 31, according to the presidential source.
Making this known is Garba Shehu, the senior media and publicity aide to the president, Daily Trust reports.
Legit.ng recalls that the 2021 appropriation bill was passed by the Nigerian Senate months after it was presented to the National Assembly by President Buhari.
The budget was passed by the upper chamber during a plenary on Monday, December 21, having being read for the third time following weeks of thorough assessment by various committees of the upper legislative chamber.
President Muhammadu Buhari had in October presented N13.08 trillion budget to the lawmakers of both legislative chambers.
The Senate president expressed confidence in the budget supporting the public expenditure despite the coronavirus pandemic which is responsible for the economic crisis.
