Dr Michael K Obeng, a plastic surgeon who hails from Ghana but based in the United States of America, is building a medical plant in the country that is worth N4 billion.
Starrfmonline.com reports that the renowned Ghanaian medical professional revealed that his underlying motivation behind this project is to strengthen medical manufacturing in Africa.
This, according to Dr Obeng is in order to improve public health outcomes and to positively contribute to economic development across the continent.
Dr Michael K Obeng who is Harvard-trained and has won himself several awards experienced a major hitch when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020 and brought the construction to a halt.
However, the construction of the multimillion-dollar pharmaceuti*cal plant is set to continue in Ghana this January 2021.
According to mikomedspa.com, Michael K Obeng is a former Chief of Plastic Surgery at St Elizabeth Boardman Health Centre in Ohio, US. A philanthropist, humanitarian, health-care consultant, and a visionary.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported creative young Ghanaian local engineer has stunned many people on social media with his invention of a rare vehicle that can be called a tricycle.
In photos sighted by Legit.ng on the Facebook page of Richard Akoto Darko, the special tricycle was posted for the whole world to see.
The story that came with the photos had it that the creator of the vehicle was from Jasikan in the Oti region of Ghana.
The inventor was seen in the driver’s seat as he carried a woman on the passenger seat. Looking closely at the invention, one can see that it has the features of a convertible car and that of a motorcycle which makes it a very rare creation.
