Amid the numerous challenges facing Nigeria, a former military ruler of Nigeria, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) has asked Nigerians to remain patient with the government.
Babangida who made the disclosure while speaking in an interview with Channels Television urged citizens to be steadfast and resolute.
According to the former head of state, whatever has a beginning must certainly have an end. He went on to note that once Nigerians work hard towards getting the objectives right, everyonewill have a pleasant 2021.
While encouraging citizens to assist the government in solving perennial problems associated with governance, Babangida stated that the COVID-19 has affected all other aspects of Nigeria’s administration.
He explained that the pandemic posed a grave challenge to the entire world, including Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Atiku Abubakar, a former Nigerian vice-president, lambasted President Buhari over his New Year live broadcast.
Atiku in a thread of tweets on Friday, January 1, said that laziness from Buhari’s government made the nation suffer multi-facet downcast in the previous year.
In his New Year message, Atiku said the out-gone year was quite dramatic and it was only by the grace of the Almighty God that Nigerians survived to witness the succeeding year.
